Recording (streams, restreams, rooms)

Start and stop recordings and read status for live streams, multistream (restream) outputs, and real-time video rooms. Recording produces platform-managed assets you can list and deliver like other VOD content after processing.

Live streams

POST https://api.dcast.pro/api/v1/streams/:id/record/start
POST https://api.dcast.pro/api/v1/streams/:id/record/stop
GET  https://api.dcast.pro/api/v1/streams/:id/record/status
Authorization: Bearer {api_key}

Precondition: the stream must be LIVE (signal published, isLive=true) before record/start can succeed. Calling it on an inactive stream returns 400 BAD_REQUEST with message "Stream is not live". Check GET /streams/:id/status first.

Use together with PATCH /streams/:id, POST /streams/:id/end, GET /streams/:id/status, and GET /streams/:id/thumbnail for full live control.

Restreams

POST https://api.dcast.pro/api/v1/restreams/:id/record/start
POST https://api.dcast.pro/api/v1/restreams/:id/record/stop
GET  https://api.dcast.pro/api/v1/restreams/:id/record/status
Authorization: Bearer {api_key}

Rooms

POST https://api.dcast.pro/api/v1/rooms/:id/record/start
POST https://api.dcast.pro/api/v1/rooms/:id/record/stop
GET  https://api.dcast.pro/api/v1/rooms/:id/record/status
Authorization: Bearer {api_key}

Room lifecycle: POST /rooms/:id/start, POST /rooms/:id/end, participant moderation (admit, kick, mute), and POST /rooms/:id/reactions for host-triggered reactions.
