Your name in the site footer
On the PRO and VIP plans every page of your creator site ends with your name instead of the Powered by DCAST line. On FREE and STAR the footer keeps the platform credit exactly as it was.
What decides it
- There is no switch: DCAST decides it from your plan on the server, so it cannot be forgotten or turned off by mistake, and the Partner API has no call for it. Moving from STAR to PRO removes the credit without any redesign on your part.
- A plan that is unknown or missing never counts as a paid plan, so the credit stays until the plan is confirmed.
- Visitors never receive your plan details: the page is only told whether to hide the platform credit.
- Both footer layouts of the creator site, the minimal one and the standard one, follow this rule.
Which name the footer shows
The footer reads © with the year and your channel name. If the channel name is empty or looks like an email address, it shows your Site Name instead.
- To set the channel name, open Settings, go to Profile, fill in Channel name (up to 100 characters) and save the profile.
- To set the Site Name, open your account menu, click Site Customization, open the SEO Settings tab and fill in Site Name.
To check, open your public site (View Public Page in the account menu, or your subdomain or custom domain) and scroll to the very bottom.
Step by step
The same steps, with common problems and their fixes, are in the help centre: Show your own name in your site footer. The templates, subdomain and custom domain of your site are described in Account, keys and quota.
